Diana’s informative and entertaining keynotes shine a light on the importance of cultural intelligence in today’s global business climate. If you want to understand your Taiwan colleagues and global customers better, these keynotes will enable you to build better business relationships and improve the bottom line.
Strange is Okay (keynote)
Do you feel different? Look different? Don’t fit in, but so desperately want to? The path of finding solace in who we are is a challenge for all of us. At one point or another many of us have struggled with acclimating to a new environment or feeling out of place. And that feeling of strangeness can go deeper than physical appearances or lack of skill.
This is an extended English version of Diana’s 2017 award-winning humorous speech, “Am I Strange?” that she gave in Mandarin Chinese. It was downloaded and viewed millions of times.
This keynote shares how a life-long learning attitude, a situational and charismatic leadership style and grit all have allowed Diana to overcome the challenges of being a Black American woman in Taiwan for the past 16 years. Her ‘strangeness’ in Taiwan helped her discover her talent and has garnered her international recognition for her achievements. She shares inspirational and entertaining stories to encapsulate her key message: that we all need to be strange at some point in life in order to discover who we really are, what we are meant to do, and how to utilize our gifts so that we can share them with others to make a difference.
Participants will experience:

How to shift perception from ignorance to curiosity to a learning experience
How to deal with feelings of inadequacy
